with kids it’s tough to know just how long to brush teeth or practice the piano that’s why vivofit jr. includes a handy tool called the task timer the task timer is only accessible from the vivofit jr. band not the app and that’s great because it gives kids the opportunity to manage themselves with only a little guidance from mom and dad to use the task timer press and hold the key on vivofit jr. to bring up menu options press the key repeatedly to scroll through when you see the hourglass icon press and hold you’ll see the first of several icons with an illustration and a number in this case a toothbrush with the number 2 this is a two-minute timer and though you can use it for whatever purpose you have in mind it’s the perfect length of time to encourage kids to thoroughly brush their teeth press and hold on the key and the timer will start on the band kids can see a timer counting down with a number in the center indicating how many minutes and in seconds they have left meanwhile on the vivofit jr. app you’ll receive a notification that your kiddo has started a two-minute timer if you didn’t prompt them to do so this is the perfect time to go find the toothbrush err and tell them good job when the task timer counts down to zero the band will chirp so kids will know they’re done brushing the task timer has presets for 2 5 10 15 20 and 30 minutes what else can you use the task timer for this is where you and your kids can get creative use a 5 minute timer to remind siblings to take turns with their toys or a 20 minute timer to ensure that daily reading gets done 30 minutes until bedtime let the kids set a timer then don’t spend your time watching the clock just let the chirp tell them when it’s time for bed with task timers there are countless possibilities using them take some of the stress off parents and gives kids the chance to feel more independent vivofit jr. also has a built-in stopwatch to use the stopwatch press and hold the key to bring up the menu then continue to press to cycle through options then press and hold on the stopwatch icon press once to start the stopwatch then press again when you’re ready to stop how the kids set a stopwatch to see who can clean their room the fastest or get ready to leave for school the fastest or any other task that needs a little prompting that’s all for now watch the other videos in this series to learn more about everything vivofit jr. has to offer

    I wish it was 60 minutes, My kids are going to Summer Camp. I was gonna set a timer for them to put on new sun tan lotion :/
