TRUE – 30 Day Yoga Journey  |  Begin!


– What’s up, everyone? And welcome to this very special Yoga With Adriene
vlog announcement. We are on the set of your
brand new 30 Days of Yoga. Yes, I’m happy to
announce that it is quite true, we will be doing a
brand new series in January to help you kick
off the year right, and the series is for everyone. It’s made with love
right here in my home and it is called TRUE,
a 30 Day Yoga Journey. This year, it is my
great pleasure and honor to guide you
through 30 days of yoga that helped establish a
deeper connection to yourself while bringing
your body and your mind up to optimal health. It’s a great way to
set the tone for a new year and I really love
this one in particular because it’s the
ultimate at home yoga practice. There’s a lot of variety, there’s a lot of slowing down, there’s some butt kicking
moves to help tone the muscles, but ultimately, the idea
behind TRUE and the offering is that you don’t
need to become someone else or to achieve any fixing or massive change on the inside, but rather, in fact, we just need to
take the time to uncover and see what is already there. So it’s a hundred
percent made with love and it’s a hundred
percent free for all to try. And there are three parts. You have your 30 free practices
that start on January 2nd with a little bonus
video on January 1st. Just a little orientation
and intention setting video to help you ease
in and get organized but the yoga
starts on January 2nd. So you have all
of your free yoga. You also have an email component
that if you sign up for, you’ll get a
daily email from me. These include affirmations,
thoughts, reflections, some writing prompts,
naked pictures of Benji and some other things
that tie in with the practice that we do that day. The third component is your
free downloadable calendar. This is a lovely little
tool to follow along with. It also will
help you kind of gauge how long the practice is
gonna be for the next day so you can prepare
and plan accordingly. It’s also just a
nice friendly way of holding yourself
accountable for some reason. So if you dig the calendar, you can print
it out if you like. If you don’t, then
you can leave it behind. So while TRUE is the ultimate
exploration of your true self and who you really are, there’s this amazing other
aspect to the whole shebang that I just would be totally
remiss if I didn’t mention and that is the
global connection, the big picture, the zoom out, to be a part of a big and
growing widespread community of people, diverse in
their bodies and natures and where they come from. It’s really something special and in the years past, that has been my favorite
part of starting the year off with 30 Days of Yoga is the
connection to the big picture and to humanity. So it’s global, it’s big,
it’s gonna be a party. Alright, so consider
this your official invitation to TRUE, a 30 Day Yoga Journey designed to trim,
to tone but more importantly, to circle you on back to you. Sign up down below

    I need to start tomorrow. I’m a student and I sit like 8 hours of the day because all the reading and writing. Will do it when the kids are eating breakfast before we have to leave the house.

    Which challenge would you suggest to do next after completing the 30 Days of Yoga Challenge? Is it best to do it in chronological order (Camp, Revolution then True) or does it not matter? Looking forward to another 30 day challenge but I'm not sure of which one to choose! 🙂

    I am a 55-year-old male who has always wanted to do yoga but felt uncomfortable going to a studio for fear of doing moves incorrectly in front of other people. I am finally going to start at home with your videos & am very excited about the next 30 days! Thank you for doing this Adriene!

    Hi. I just have a little enquiry. I have been practicing Yoga for about 3 months now. But i have found that with poses such as Warrior 2, Trikonasana, and Bending Side Trikonasana etc, I find that my front knee, calf aches… to the point where i usually have to stop the pose and straighten my knee to find relief. Do you find that normal in some beginnners or is it a sign of weak knees do you think? Any advice or thoughts from anyone would be fantastic 🙂 thank you

    Hey Adrienne! I just finished True in 60 days! It has been amazing and after going through 6 months of chemo last year and having joint pain and anxiety, sweats, fear and connective tissue issues, this has been the best thing ever for me.
    Now I have to keep this momentum going.Thank you!

I have never tought that i would do the yoga one day but i have to say it is really helping me with my depression and anxiety …i'm on day 28 on the 30 challenge and im super excited to begin the challenge of "true" . This TRUE playlist has been so incredibly helpful in getting on some exercise and reducing the stress with finishing grad school. Also… were you in Vancouver recently?     hello Andriene! Please advice me the way to do yoga. how often that I should change video yoga ? I always follow practice your yoga video with weight loss series. I do yoga the same video for 1 week then I change to another for every one week. so is it the right way to practice it? Thanks for spending your time to create such amazing yoga for us to practice. xx

    i went to a yoga class for the first time the other day and all that came to mind after was "but did you die!"
    in all seriousness though i'm late to the game but who cares, this looks like a great place to start and get more comfortable with Yoga in my own sacred space.
    from the intro already i LOVE your energy and i look forward to starting this journey with you!

    I'm a medical student and i have to be seated or standing most of the time, during the day. my lower and upper back were getting super painful and ridiculously uncomfortable. I'm on my 20th day of this Yoga Journey and cannot tell how much my whole back had improved. there is still a big deal i want to strengthen my back muscles but what a difference. Adriene is such a sweetheart, she is a great motivator and peace and mindfulness! can't wait to finish this Journey to start others (my next destination is Weight Loss Yoga lol)

    hi Adriene, when you launched this new series of 30 days of yoga, I purchased the downloadable version since I'm humanitarian aid worker and most of the places I work, internet connection is quite rubbish…. so, offline videos are the best to keep up with my daily yoga routine with you! However, I lost the videos of this TRUE series 🙁 I'm happy to purchase it again, but cannot find the option here on youtube nor at your website anymore. I need it badly! 🙂
    Hope you can help me, as I'm going on a new mission soon.

    just wanted to say thank you a lot for the effort you put in making these and other videos on your channel. it really be helping me with my depression and stress. i've never thought that i would do yoga and enjoy it because i usually don't have any motivation for doing something like this except laying in bed using my phone and etc. but you are really inspiring person and i'm still here doing yoga and enjoying myself because i have such a lovely instructor.

    This program kicked me off on a journey for sure! I completed this and 3 other yoga programs this year (all yours!) and I can't begin to explain how much it has changed me!!! Physically (I'm developing abs!? ME?!), but mostly mentally and spiritually. I learned an important tool for my anxiety, depression, anger.. I've sharpened my discipline but have learned to be a lot kinder to myself at the same time. And there are at least 3 poses (crow is most important one!) that I used to shrug off as "I can't do that one" and wait for the next pose, but I think your most important lesson to me this year was to just try a little each day.. and it paid off incredibly! I've vowed to make it a motto of mine so I can further enjoy life, doing things I "couldn't" before. Going to be "circling back" to this program one more time to kick off an even better year! Thank you so much Adriene for all you do to better our lives!!

    Today something happened that left me feeling scared and vulnerable. I regularly watch & follow your yoga videos and today I decided to start this challenge. Something inside me said that I don’t want to be afraid anymore of circumstances & need to take care of the person I really am.

    2nd time though! Starting again for Feb 2019. Stick with it, it's an awesome journey! Like so many of you on here it helped me though a dark time. Now on my 2nd time though I'm looking forward to elevating these lessons to a new level! : )

    I just finished Dedicate and I am feeling so much more rooted in my bodymind. The love, grounding, and presence that I gained was truly transformative. Adriene, I am beyond grateful for all of your videos, especially the 30 day series.
