How To: Ball Crunch


What’s going on guys? I’m Scott from Scotthermanfitness.com I’m going to demonstrate for you guys how to do a ball crunch The first thing you want to do is get your ball Then you’re going to sit on it like this And then roll up And you want to roll out to the ball so that the middle of your lower part of your back right here So I’m going to like this. I’m going to make sure that my legs are 90 degree angle Then I put my hands behind my head now if you have a hard time with your neck a lot of people when they first Start out doing these their neck will get tired just because the muscles aren’t use to holding themselves up put your hands behind your head like this But make sure you’re not pulling, they’re just supporting your neck what I like to do is sometimes just put my hands behind my ears I don’t know why I just like that it’s kind of like giving me a little support at the same time not but let’s keep my arms back because if your arms are also added weight if you have a hard time with this exercise you put your arms in front of you You’re not doing as much weight in your abs as opposed to putting your arms back here it’s just using your body as leverage so what I like to do is put my arms like this now if you notice my Back is arched right now It’s really stretched out because if you don’t arch your back and stretch out You’re not going to activate all your abdominals when you come up to the crunch and then come back down So make sure you start out like this 90 degree angle keep your core tight Maintain a neutral spine don’t do abs like this because you won’t come up as high your body will just subconsciously not let yourself go up as high stare at ceiling pick a spot and then come up like this Breathe out as you come up keep everything tight and That’s how you do ball crunch for more information feel free to subscribe to my channel as I always have more videos coming soon later guys

    I see no talk about how to do the side crunches on the ball or for the back and sides on the back… crunch fail, u fail.

    maybe the best exercise for the abdominal. save for the lower back, full stretch, full range, easy to learn . i can do 100 crunches and 100 situps but after one regular set of this, slow rep full stretch, im dead
