Hi and welcome back to another episode of ‘Ask A Trainer’. My name is Candice Currie and I’m here today with Master Trainer, Stone Thomas. How you doing? So, Stone, we’ve actually been getting some questions in lately regarding our saunas and I thought we’d share one from David T., who asks, “How long would you recommend spending in the sauna before and after a workout?” Before and after… I like to utilize the sauna more as a warm up. So, I’ll go in there for about 5-10 minutes. It actually heats my core temperature, it allows me to stretch a little bit more efficiently. I try not to stay in there for too long because I don’t want to get dehydrated, but afterwards, after your workout, utilizing the sauna has a lot of benefits. It can actually decrease muscle soreness and it can actually decrease arthritic pains. The sauna does make you sweat a lot, right? Right. So, you need to make sure the amount that you’re sweating, you need to balance that with water. So, you don’t want to dehydrate yourself when you go in there, right? Makes sense, so bring plenty of water – Plenty of water. Go ahead and send us your fitness related questions to [email protected] and we’ll see you next time.
