Whoo! This is Carol from Pandaily and I’m just getting ready because I’m gonna bring you a review of the Mi Band 3! Now, this is not a sponsored product nor is this a sponsored review We simply wanted to check it out for you guys whether this device which is less than $25 is even worth the purchase So we found this beautiful gym called “Le Wellness” That is in Zhongguancun, which is the heart of China Tech Now this is the third generation Mi Band that Xiaomi has brought to us It is very modern and sporty-looking and the band itself still uses this rubber-like material that feels really smooth and clean but in the middle you have this shiny marble shaped core that is not only the display, but also the brain and it’s funny because they call it the “Rice Grain” In comparison to the previous generation of Mi Band this new one has a much larger screen better display resolution, and it supports touch screen finally Another thing that’s worth mentioning is that this new generation of Mi Band is waterproof for 15m underwater Now we summarized five major features after weeks of use and here we go! First and the most important one is the wearing experience as you can see the Mi Band is made of two parts the band and the middle “Rice Grain” and this is a curved black screen with a little dented button that is also touchscreen at the bottom and I would say this is so much sleeker and better-looking than the previous generation And you know what, creating products are just like working out We’re always improving upon our previous best self Grrrgh! We all know the importance of weight when it comes to wrist accessories and you know what, this feels like nothing it’s very lightweight, it feels really smooth to the skin and even if you sweat a little bit during your workout It’s very easy to clean off and it seems like the “Rice Grain” is never going to fall off even in these intense situations which was a problem actually in previous generations and other models So this is definitely an improvement! The second is functionality now the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 has all the functionalities that a regular fitness band would have The default display shows time and a swipe down will display steps walked, heart rate, weather, messages, notifications, and more A little tap that means “go back to the previous page” but then again, you can always swipe to go back as well and then there is Sports Mode So we can open the app to Sports Mode and then select run and press start! It will say “3… 2… 1… Go!” See? It’s already monitoring my exercise time, distance, speed, and heart rate just lift up the wrist to see all the exercise data How convenient! The third major feature is its crazy long battery life Xiaomi Official says its 110mAh battery will last 20 days on a single charge I’ve used it for about a week and it went from 80% to 46% That’s pretty good, right? I mean I would not be able to charge a device every single day You guys know which one I’m talking about Last but not least, its price! Now it is with price that Xiaomi won the wearable device’s market The first one only costed $12 and a second-generation, $22 This one, at less than $25 I’m sure a whole army of users are on their way But I mean with the same functions and a quarter of the cost, why not? If you don’t have any wearable devices this is probably a pretty safe bet This thing though, is still far from perfect I have quite a few things to complain about First, is that I really have to exaggerate my movement for anything to show up and now after a few weeks of use this straight up does not show up anything and I have to like really press it for, you know, this to light up Another thing, there was always this like half a second lag I didn’t like that And also in terms of the screen I know it’s already bigger than the last generation but in my opinion still too small to read messages, notifications, and all the other things that I really want to do So, hopefully these can be improved in the next generation Listen up, Xiaomi! And, that’s it for the Mi Band 3! If you liked our video, don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe to our channel! Again, this is Carol from Pandaily and I will see you guys next time!
